• Net-shape vertical spline geometry
  • Opposite blind counter bores
  • Limit secondary operation costs to machining pulley form only

ASCO Sintering Co. produces an Idler Pulley for a major snow blower manufacturer.  This component is made from a machine-able grade of FC-0208-50.  The splines and precision bores are all pressed in net shape with only the pulley grooves being machined.  Bearings are press fit into the bores and these parts see constant engagement / dis-engagement during operation.  Part strength and being free from manufacturing defects are all important.
