ASCO Sintering Co. completes certification audit to the new ISO 9001:2015 Standard.

ASCO Sintering Co., Commerce, CA USA is pleased to announce that it has completed its certification audit to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard administered by SRI Quality System Registrar.  This was achieved with unconditional approval and no major or minor findings during the audit.  This is a significant achievement as this 2015 standard is concerned with international issues of environment and risk management.  When Neil Moore, ASCO President/CEO was asked for comment he stated that “Today, the supply chain is Global. ASCO is stepping up to meet the challenge by having a Global presence [Coventry, UK and Cape Town, South Africa].  This allows us to support the international market.  ASCO now has a quality system that is aligned with the tools to deal with the geo-political elements of risk, such as tariffs on steel and aluminum.”

Risk Management or the avoidance of risk, is an integral part of the strategy at ASCO Sintering Co.  At ASCO, a team of thirteen Six Sigma Green Belts focus on a commitment to zero defects.  When questioned, Gerald Blythe, Quality Manager at ASCO Sintering Co. replied that “All products at ASCO benefit from our adherence to the principals of Six Sigma.  Whether it is performing Process FMEAs or Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), the intent is to identify and prevent problems before they occur.”
